Project Description:Â Â This project will replace the perimeter chain link fence along the Talbert Marsh with a concrete wall. The top of the wall will have a wave-like pattern ranging between 8-feet to 11-feet tall.
Construction is anticipated to begin 2025 and take approximately 2 years to complete.
Digesters Rehabilitation at Plant No. 2
Project Description:Â Â This project will rehabilitate existing Plant No. 2 digesters including repairing the digester domes, walls, and bridges, rehabilitating the hot water piping system, improving miscellaneous safety related items, and replacing electrical motor control centers that are obsolete.
Construction is anticipated to begin 2025 and take approximately 3 years to complete.
Activated Sludge Aeration Basin Rehabilitation at Plant No. 2
Project Description:Â Â This project includes structural rehabilitation of the aeration basin’s reactor deck and adjacent concrete structures, coating the interior of reactor tanks to mitigate exposed concrete aggregate, replacement of all mechanical equipment, components, and piping, including all gates, valves, and appurtenances.
Construction is anticipated to begin 2027 and take approximately 3 years to complete.
Digester Gas Facilities Replacement
Project Description:Â Â This project will replace the low- and high-pressure digester gas facilities at Plant Nos. 1 and 2 to meet current and future needs such as projected gas production and Air Quality Management District and National Fire Protection Association regulations.
Construction is anticipated to being 2027 and take approximately 5 years to complete.
Operations and Maintenance Complex
Project Description:Â This project will construct a new building for Operations, Maintenance, Collections and Construction Management staff.
Construction is anticipated to begin 2027 and take approximately 3 years to complete.
