OC San’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a long-term plan to maintain infrastructure to protect the public health and environment and uphold the commitment of meeting the required level of service. The current CIP is replacing aging pump stations, rehabilitating and replacing pipes, upgrading and replacing treatment processes, and researching the latest technologies. CIP spending is anticipated to steadily grow as construction continues and more projects transition from design to construction. Over the next 10 years, over $3 billion is projected for improvements to OC San facilities, thus enhancing Orange County’s infrastructure.
Highlighted in this year’s CIP annual report is achieving 100 percent recycling of reclaimable flows to complete the final expansion of the Groundwater Replenishment System.
