It is with deep sadness that we learn of Bill Dalton’s passing on Monday, March 22, 2021.
Bill served on the OC San Board of Directors from May 2003 – December 2012. During his time with OC San, he served on several committees such as the Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Administration and Operations Committee.
He was part of the OC San Board when the agency became the first in the nation to be certified for its biosolids environmental management plan, and during the groundbreaking and commissioning of the world-renowned Groundwater Replenishment System. His contributions were many and his dedication and commitment to public service were remarkable.
He served four terms as Mayor of Garden Grove. Bill was extremely dedicated to his work, serving 26 years with the Garden Grove Police Department prior to his political career. He rose to the position of lieutenant and was honored with a Medal of Valor for his role in stopping an armed robbery.
Our deepest condolences to the Dalton and Garden Grove family.
