The Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer Project continues with final touches on the manhole rehabilitation work on Seal Beach Blvd. and Los Alamitos Blvd. OC San is coordinating with the I-405 construction project which means we’ll need to take a brief hiatus while work continues the freeway.

City of Seal Beach

Seal Beach Blvd. between Lampson Ave. and Bradbury Rd. – NIGHTWORK 

  • What: Manhole liner installation
  • When: Starting September 5 – end of September – one to two nights per location.
  • Work Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 6 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • Where: Southbound Seal Beach Blvd. from Lampson Ave. to Bradbury Rd.
  • Impacts: Lane closures – allow extra time to reach your destination.

 

 

 

City of Los Alamitos

Katella Ave. from Oak St. and merging onto southbound Los Alamitos Blvd. to Bradbury Rd.

  • When: Mid-September for approximately three weeks
  • Work Hours: Weeknights, Nightwork from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.
  • Impacts: Lane closures

 Project Description

OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
