The new year is off to a rainy start, while welcomed, it has impacted our project schedule. Construction activity previously scheduled for the beginning of the year is now scheduled for this week and mid-next week.

Intersection of Los Alamitos Blvd. and Katella Ave.

Street restoration – asphalt and concrete placement for crosswalks. This will require a 24-hour lane closure to allow for the concrete to properly set and cure. Thru traffic across the intersection will be allowed.

• Where:  Southbound Los Alamitos Blvd. at Katella Avenue 
• When: Wednesday, January 18 at 8 p.m. to Friday, January 20 at 6 a.m.*

• Where: Eastbound Katella Avenue and Los Alamitos Blvd.
• When: Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m. to Wednesday, January 25 at 6 a.m.
• Impacts for both closures:
  • Lane closures and turn restrictions on both Katella Avenue and Los Alamitos Blvd.
  • Increased noise level
  • Access to all properties will be maintained

 Project Description

OC San is rehabilitating two parallel sewers on north and southbound Seal Beach Blvd./ Los Alamitos Blvd., and along Katella Avenue, Oak Street, and Lexington Drive in the cities of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos. The work consists of removing calcium buildup at various pipe joints and injecting chemical grout to strengthen the pipe. Rehabilitation and/or replacement of over 70 manholes will also take place.
