Construction of the Los Alamitos Trunk Sewer Project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, October 17 at 8 p.m. The first phase will begin on Lexington Drive and proceed south toward Katella Avenue.
The purpose of this project is to extend the life of the regional sewer and be able to provide reliable service to the community. As a reminder, work will consist of pipeline cleaning and grouting, followed by manhole repairs.
Starting Location:
Lexington Drive between Katella Ave. and Corporate Center Drive in the City of Cypress. Construction work will continue westward along Katella Avenue from Lexington Drive towards Los Alamitos Blvd. and head south. The manhole activity will follow shortly behind the line cleaning.

Manhole rehabilitation work on Lexington Dr. only will be done during the day. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

What to Expect:
- Periodic traffic delays as a result of lane reductions and turn restrictions
- Increased noise level
