Since 1960, the American Public Works Association (APWA) has celebrated Public Works Week in May. In 2014 they announced the declaration of National Public Works Week, a week where awareness and recognition is brought to public works professionals.

As an public works agency, we are once again joining agencies across the country to celebrate Public Works Week. We are celebrating the essential staff that rain or shine, show up to work to perform their job duties to uphold our mission of protecting public health and the environment. The work that our staff does often times goes unnoticed, as such we take opportunities such as this to highlight their dedication because they are the ones that make it all happen. This week we will be recognizing some of our team members on our social media platforms.
