We’ve got great news for beach lovers! The 2024-2025 Heal the Bay Beach Report is in, and Orange County beaches are at the top of the list for the second year in a row!

Heal the Bay’s Beach Report Card grades the water quality of 500 California beaches during three conditions – Summer Dry, Winter Dry, and Wet Weather. This year, 34 Orange County beaches took top spots on the Honor Roll – more than tripling last year’s 10 beaches. Of the 34 OC beaches, nearly half are located in OC San’s service area.

To earn a spot on the Honor Roll, a beach much receive an A+ grade across all conditions, with zero bacterial exceedances throughout the year.

These high marks highlight OC San’s dedication to keeping our ocean clean and protected for our community. Through our Dry Weather Urban Runoff Program, Ocean Monitoring Program, and the commitment of our staff, our coastline remains one of the best in the state.
