As part of the Orange Western Trunk Sewer Project construction is underway in the cities of Cypress and Anaheim.
Current activities include:

City of Anaheim

LOCATION: Western Ave. between Tyler Ave. to Del Monte Dr.

Construction is ongoing near the Western and Lincoln intersection. This work will be completed in three phases which
will occur consecutively. All three phases are anticipated to be completed this summer. *

Phase 1

• When: Ongoing – Summer 2023*
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.
  • Day work will be performed intermittently throughout April from8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A temporary closure of northbound Western Avenue just north of Lincoln Avenue is required to maintain
sewer service to the community surrounding the work zone. Pumps will be installed to allow the sewer flow to
be bypassed or rerouted further downstream.

• Friday, April 7 from 8 p.m. – 12 a.m.
• The activity will take place at night to minimize impact. A detour will be in place to get you
  to your destination.

Impacts:

• Lane reductions and turn restrictions
• Parking restrictions
• Noise and dust
• Permanent traffic control until work is completed

City of Cypress 

Work is starting to wrap up on Orange Avenue. Current activity is occurring along Orange Ave. between Valley View
St. and Holder St. where pipeline and manhole repair work is being completed

• Where: Orange Ave. between Valley View St. to Holder St.
• When: Ongoing – mid-April 2023*
  • After the current work is completed, construction crews will return to complete street
    restoration. 
• Work Hours: Weekdays, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
• Impacts:
  • Lane reductions and turn restriction.
  • Parking restrictions
  • Crosswalk closures
  • Certain bus stops along the route may be affected, please watch for posted signs and visit www.OCTA.net for details.

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park,
Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical
grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire
project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
