Work continues on the Orange Western Trunk Sewer Project. We appreciate your patience as this work is being done to enhance the aging infrastructure to extend the life of the regional sewer system.

LOCATION: Orange Avenue between Knott Ave and Western Ave.

The sewer pipe is being replaced along a portion of Orange Ave. This specific activity requires the use of both permanent and temporary traffic control to successfully complete the work. This will reduce traffic lanes and impact street parking until the work is completed.

• When: Ongoing – August 2023*
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
• Lane reductions and parking restrictions.

LOCATION: Western Ave. between Tyler Ave. to Del Monte Dr.

The regional sewer pipe on Western Ave. needs to be replaced. This requires excavation, shoring installation, and dewatering to safely perform the work. A bypass system is also necessary to reroute the sewer to maintain uninterrupted service.

Day Work

• When: Ongoing – Summer 2023*
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Occasional Saturdays

Nightwork will be occurring for approximately one week at the Western Ave. and Lincoln Ave. intersection.

• When: Week of August 7
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
