Day work has started for the Orange Western Trunk Sewer Project in the City of Anaheim.

The first activity will be potholing to identify and locate underground utilities. This is being done in preparation for sewer line repair work and manhole replacement.

  • When: Starting week of June 6 – through summer 2022*
  • Where: Starting at Western Ave. south of Lincoln Ave. in the City of Anaheim and Buena Park moving southbound toward Orange Ave. Westbound on Orange Ave. toward Valley View St. in the City of Cypress.
  • Work hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Nightwork will be ongoing to continue with the pipeline cleaning which must be done at night while sewer flows are low.

Dates and times are subject to change due to operational factors or inclement weather.

 What to Expect:

  • Periodic traffic delays because of lane reductions and turn restrictions
  • Increased noise level
  • Certain bus stops along the route may be affected, please watch for posted signs and visit www.OCTA.net for details

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
