EMERGENCY REPAIR WORK – ORANGE AVENUE from KNOTT AVENUE to DANBROOK DRIVE

A blockage in the pipeline was encountered which needs to be repaired to avoid impact to the sewer service. Repair work will commence on Friday, March 29 at 2 p.m. and continue until the issue is corrected.

Impacts:

  • Lane closures.
  • NO left turns from Orange Ave. onto Knott Ave.
  • NO left turns from Knott Ave. onto Orange Ave.
  • East crosswalk will be restricted.
  • Noise

Thank you for your patience as we work to make this necessary repair.

On Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1 crews will be working on Western Avenue, south of Lincoln Avenue to complete work at the manhole as part of the final stages of the project. Work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

 Impacts:

  • One through lane on southbound Western Ave. at Lincoln Ave.
  • Southbound turns from Lincoln Ave. to Western Ave. will NOT be allowed.
  • Westbound turns from Western Ave. to Lincoln Ave. will NOT be allowed.
  • South crosswalk will be closed
  • Northbound traffic will remain open
  • Noise and dust

Project Description

Manholes and sections of sewer pipeline on Western Avenue and Orange Avenue in the Cities of Buena Park, Anaheim, and Cypress will be rehabilitated to extend their service life. OC San will clean and inject chemical grout into the pipelines and rehabilitate or replace manholes along the highlighted section of the entire project area map. Small segments of pipe will also be replaced.
