During our latest site inspection we found a great example of a field growing sudan grass “with and without biosolids.” Because there is a ring of 250 feet where biosolids cannot be applied in order to protect the quality of the agricultural well, the grass grown without biosolids is lighter in color and shorter. Biosolids benefits are clearly demonstrated here as growing darker, taller, healthier plants.

Biosolids also add organic matter to the soil thereby building healthy soils and transforming these desert lands to rich farmlands for animal fodder crops.
