Coastal Cleanup Time is Here
Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday so let’s get out there and do our part! For the rest of September, every Saturday, is the day to head on out to the beach and have fun keeping our coast line pristine.
Whether you pick up one piece of trash or 100, all of it makes a difference when it comes to cleaning up the coast. When we head to the beach the last thing, we want to worry about is whether it will be clean. That’s why we encourage you all to help us keep the coast clean. The top five most collected items on International Coastal Cleanup Day last year were cigarette butts, plastic beverage bottles, food wrappers, plastic bottle caps and plastic straws. To make the biggest impact on our oceans, waves and beaches Coastal Cleanup Day has changed to Coastal Cleanup Month, this gives all of us many more chances to make a difference.
